Mumbai is well known over 3000 years for the trade.The shipments from gulf, Europeans were frequently coming to Mumbai.The export & import of goods from the different parts of Maharashtra was for centuries.It was navigated by roads & rivers.During Satvahana dynasty it was at its peak.It had a great impact on our lifestyle. The satavahana dynasty cleverly utilized this huge amount to built the forts at remote places for safety purpose from the offenders,also invested amount for carving caves & sculptures.It motivated the artists,engineers,scientists and workers.We can say the forts and caves were huge projects initiated by Satavahana. It continued till 13th century.The British realized the importance of Mumbai a group of 7 islands.In 1771 British people reclaimed all 7 islands to one namely Mumbai.All these efforts of 2000 years Mumbai have achieved this unique position on international level.Now a days it is the economic capital of India.
